All about C to the L

This is me, circa summer of 2008

Where to begin, where to begin… I was born in raised in California, specifically in Napa but lotsa people don’t know where that is so the standard Napkin response is either: an hour away from San Francisco or Napa Valley and suddenly putting the ‘valley’ in there makes the light bulb turn on, so hooray for wine country. My passion for sports (football and baseball, to be precise) has brought me to Louisiana to begin my dream job. That didn’t pan out so well so I’m getting back in the wine business, where I started after graduating college. Only this time I’m doing it in New Orleans.

This blog will chronicle all the goings-on of a California-Girl-Gone-Southern as I begin, what my friends and I have dubbed, Life 2.0 Life 2.1 (Catchy, right?)

Let’s see. It’s been established that I am big fan of baseball and football, especially college, but I can take or leave the NFL. And no. I don’t have “a team”, I’d rather just watch a good game, although I have a few friends that played for certain teams, so I like to see those teams do well. I have made it my mission to visit every MLB stadium and I’ve put a good dent in the list (which naturally is chronicled here) and I have taken up golf and now feel like a grown-up having played in a tournament or two but sadly, the airlines make bringing golf clubs from California to Louisiana cost-prohibitive so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that my mom will shake the dust off of them once in a while.

I love to scrapbook and yes, it is my 40-year old soccer mom hobby, thank you for noticing. I have converted the second room in my place to my scrap room, known as the Nook. The Mother-Of-All-Totes (fondly known as the MOAT) is stored there. I still believe in fairy tales, although many times I wonder why, and I proudly admit that I watch Dallas on DVDs because Bobby Ewing is cute. And lastly, I’m still a proud supporter of my high school athletic programs. Go Indians.
