Megan had her 2nd Annual Fancy Pants Party during my trip home. It started as an excuse to get all dolled up and wear dresses us girls buy once then never get to wear again but it has now grown to an annual holiday event! I was so excited to see everyone! It was so much fun. I also ate my weight in appetizers. No joke. They were all so tasty…and fancy!
For the full album view, click here, but here’s a few gems to show you how fancy we were!

Remember when I waited 2 whole hours for what was hyped as “the best ribs to ever grace the face of the earth”?
I got home and was starving (since it was 2pm CA time and my stomach was on New Orleans time and I hadn’t even had breakfast) so immediately I opened the cabinet where my mom keeps the food. And you wanna know what I found?
Yea. This:

You’ve got to be kidding me. You mean to tell me that I didn’t need to wait 2 freakin hours…I could’ve made them at home??
Fail.

I arrived on Friday and am feeling seriously lucky that all my flights were on time. Which is sayin something, since I had to go through Denver. My mom picked me up from the airport and we decided to take the Golden Gate Bridge home (as opposed to the ever-picturesque Bay Bridge- HA!)
Something I never even bothered to snap before:

Cheers to being home!

I’m getting excited to fly home for Christmas! I had a little prelude to the holidays with our department party at a local establishment.

Bean, me and DO'B are the ladies in red

Me, TCG and JP are guarding that closet behind us
I can’t wait for all the holiday festivies! Time with the fam, the Fancy-Pants Party, getting my Taqueria and Market Mac & Cheese fix….[sigh] the list goes on.
Wish me luck on my airport travel tomorrow!

In case anyone was wondering what I do when it snows/rains/sleets, the answer is easy. I hole up in the Nook. Thus, the products of a no-work-but-it’s-cold-outside weekend (click the image for the full size):

And because apparently I never posted Thanksgiving 2007, here’s those as well:
